From the South West (M6/A7)
Leave the M6 at junction 44 (Signed Edinburgh - tourist route/Hawick/Galashiels). Follow A7 through Langholm/Hawick/Selkirk until roundabout (r-a-b) just before Galashiels. Take second exit off r-a-b heading towards Melrose. At next roundabout go straight over (Melrose). At next r-a-b take third exit (Melrose bypass). Stay on bypass until A68 r-a-b. At r-a-b take first exit on to A68 (heading towards Edinburgh). **Just after bridge over Tweed take centre lane allowing you to turn right (Bemersyde-Scotts View-Gattonside etc). Follow this to T-junction (400yds) turn left towards Scotts View/Smailholm. Over the small bridge and climb hill. At the top of hill take left turning (signed Redpath only). Blue gates in front of you are gates into courtyard for Stables cottage, for Bed and Breakfast turn left through black metal gates and down the drive..

From the South East (A68)
Approaching from the Newcastle direction follow the A68 north through Jedburgh, following the same road (A68) approximately 12 miles until coming to a large r-a-b. Go straight over the r-a-b remaining on the A68. Just after bridge over Tweed take centre lane allowing you to turn right (Bemersyde-Scotts View-Gattonside etc). **Follow this to T-junction (400yds) turn left towards Scotts View/Smailholm. Over the small bridge and climb hill. At the top of hill take left turning (signed Redpath only). From the North East (A68)
Approaching from the Edinburgh direction follow the A68 through Dalkeith/Pathhead/Lauder/Earlston (keep to A68). Approximately 3 miles south of Earlston turn left off the A68 for Bemersyde-Smailholm-Gattonside. **Then as above.

From the North West (A7)
Approaching from the Glasgow direction we would advise travelling via Edinburgh bypass, leaving at Sherrifhall roundabout taking the A68 southbound. Follow the A68 through Dalkeith/Pathhead/Lauder/Earlston (keep to A68). Approximately 3 miles south of Earlston turn left for Bemersyde. **Then as above.
